ECHS contains a substantial archive facility, including:
Photographs
Maps & atlases
Obituaries
Newspaper clippings
Books & Yearbooks
Court records
City directories
And much more!

ounded in 1984, the archival holdings contain information about the people, places,
and events pertinent to Ellis County. From photographs to record books to newspaper
articles, the archives has information dating from the 1860s to the present.
The archives are taffed by an archivist, an archival assistant, volunteers, and interns that
are available to aid patrons in research. Photocopies and scans of archival holdings can
be made at the request of the patron for a fee.
